We’re publishing a new poem by the critic, essayist, and poet Ed Simon - I liked it so much that I asked Ed for a chat. We ended up having a wonderful conversation that I’m sharing here - it starts with Ed reading the poem, and we end up talking about all kinds of things including the true meaning of apocalypse, the life-giving properties of death awareness, and finding a way beyond our obsession with finality. We also laugh a bit too.
